Corona Virus , 2019-nCoV now named SARS-CoV-2 or Covid-19

2019-nCoV Corona Virus or now named SARS-CoV-2  Virus or Covid-19 Outbreak.

At the end of 2019, patients with unexplained pneumonia appeared in Wuhan, China. At 21:00 on January 7, 2020, a new coronavirus was detected in the laboratory, and the detection of pathogenic nucleic acids was completed at 20:00 on January 10. Subsequently, the World Health Organization officially named the new coronavirus that caused the pneumonia epidemic in Wuhan as 2019 new coronavirus (2019-nCoV) later named Covid-19 , and the pneumonia was named severe acute respiratory infection (SARI). Up to February 4, 2020, over 20000 cases have been diagnosed in China, 406 of which have died, and 154 cases have been discovered in other countries around the world. Most of the deaths were elderly patients or patients with severe underlying diseases. SARI has caused global concern and emergency.

Statistics of the 41 patients with SARI published in JAMA initially showed that 13 patients were transferred into the ICU, of which 11 (85%) had ARDS and 3 (23%) had shock. Of these, 10 (77%) required mechanical ventilation support, and 2 (15%) required ECMO support. Of the above 13 patients, 5 (38%) eventually died and 7 (38%) were transferred out of the ICU. Viral pneumonia is a dangerous condition with a poor clinical prognosis. For most viral infections, there is a lack of effective targeted antiviral drugs, and symptomatic supportive treatment is still the current main treatment.

Detailed Description: Vitamin C infusion treatment for Viral Pneumonia.

Vitamin C, also known as ascorbic acid, has antioxidant properties. When sepsis happens, ( pay attention, this is the part that kills ) the cytokine surge caused by sepsis is activated, and neutrophils in the lungs accumulate in the lungs, destroying alveolar capillaries.

Early clinical studies have shown that vitamin C can effectively prevent this process. In addition, vitamin C can help to eliminate alveolar fluid by preventing the activation and accumulation of neutrophils, and reducing alveolar epithelial water channel damage. At the same time, vitamin C can prevent the formation of neutrophil extracellular traps, which is a biological event of vascular injury caused by neutrophil activation. Vitamins can effectively shorten the duration of the common cold. In extreme conditions (athletes, skiers, art workers, military exercises), it can effectively prevent the common cold. And whether vitamin C also has a certain protective effect on influenza patients, a few studies have shown that vitamin C deficiency is related to the increased risk and severity of influenza infections. In a controlled but non-randomized trial, 85% of the 252 students treated experienced a reduction in symptoms in the high-dose vitamin C group (1g / h or 1000mg/hour at the beginning of symptoms for 6h, followed by 3 – 1g doses/ day). Using this vitamin C protocol on 2019-nCoV patients seemed to give good results.

Among patients with sepsis and ARDS, patients in the high-dose vitamin group did not show a better prognosis and other clinical outcomes. There are still some confounding factors in the existing research, and the conclusions are different.

this is a effective prophylaxis as well as treatment and can be administered weekly!

Boost your immune system with high doses of vitamin C. Orthomolecular medicine has found that vitamin C is important in stimulating the immune system. In one study, asymptomatic adults came down with the flu. They were given 1000 mg of vitamin C on an hourly basis for six consecutive doses. They then received 1000 mg three times daily as long as they were symptomatic. Their reported flu and cold symptoms were reduced by 85% compared to a placebo.
Take 1000 mg of vitamin C every hour for six hours. Then take 1000 mg three times a day until you don’t feel your symptoms anymore.
Increase your intake of vitamin D3. Vitamin D3 is an important vitamin that stimulates the immune system. If you are not already taking vitamin D3 supplements regularly, there is a high probability that you may be deficient in vitamin D. This could be measured with 25-hydroxyvitamin D blood levels. But when a flu hits, there is no time to do this.
For adults: Take 50,000 IU of vitamin D3 on the first day you feel sick. Then take the same amount every day for the next three days. Reduce the vitamin D3 dose slowly over the next few days to 5000 IU daily.

In schoolchildren, another study showed that 1200 IU of vitamin D3 reduced the incidence of influenza by 67% compared to a control group that did not take any vitamin D3 supplement

Add Zinc;  When you mention zinc, many people will think about its ability to fight colds and there is good reason for this. Taking zinc supplements over a period of several months can actually reduce your chances of developing illnesses like the cold or flu.

There is also evidence that if you start supplementing (up to 50mg a day) after becoming sick that zinc can help speed up your recovery.

Research published in 2013 by Indian researchers revealed that if you start taking zinc supplements within the first 24 hours of the onset of your cold, symptoms disappeared significantly faster.

Try coconut oil. Coconut oil has medium chain fatty acids that have antiviral, antibacterial, antifungal and antiparasitic effects without having side effects. The main ingredient in coconut oil is lauric acid, a medium chain saturated fatty acid. It inserts itself into the viral outer membrane and causes a rupture and death of the influenza virus without harming the human host of the virus.
Take one to two tablespoons of coconut oil three times per day. Mix it in warm orange juice or take it with a meal. Usually within one to two days, the virus will be eliminated. Symptoms often disappear within one day, when normally it would have taken five to seven days to recover from a flu
Use the old-fashioned method of steaming. In this method, all you need is water and your chosen essential oils or mixture of oils. You’ll boil water to create steam, which you’ll breathe through your nose.
Dry air causes drying of the mucus membranes and increases the chances of infections.

Pour water (distilled is best, but tap water is fine) until the bottom of the pot has about two inches of water.

  • Heat the water to boiling, turn off the heat and add eight to ten drops of essential oils. Stir.
  • You can either leave the pot on the stove or take it off. Just be careful, whichever you decide.
  • Cover your head with a towel and breathe in the steam through your nose. You can also breathe through your mouth, especially if you have a sore throat or a throat infection.
  • Do this as long as the steam is rising. Repeat if desired by reheating the water. The same solution can be used over and over until all the water is gone.
  • Monitor for signs of dehydration. Call your physician for advice even if you are just seeing the signs of mild dehydration, especially in babies. These can progress to more serious dehydration pretty quickly. Some symptoms of mild dehydration include:
    • Dry, sticky mouth. In a baby, look for dry lips or crustiness around the lips/eyes. Also look for “lip-smacking” behavior.
    • More sleepiness, fussiness or tiredness than usual.
    • Thirst: This is hard to tell in a small infant, but the “lip smacking” behavior or pursing her lips as if she is feeding may be a clue.
    • Decreased urine output: Check an infant’s diapers. They should need to be changed at least every three hours. If the diaper is dry after 3 hours, this may indicate some dehydration. Keep pushing fluids and check after another hour. If the diaper is still dry, call your physician.
    • Check the color of urine. The darker the urine, the more dehydrated the baby or child may be.
    • Constipation: Check for bowel movements as well, especially when you’re checking the diaper for urine.
    • Few or no tears when crying
    • Dry skin: Gently pinch the back of the baby’s hand, just pinching the loose skin. Well-hydrated babies have skin that bounces right back.
    • Dizziness or lightheadedness

Drink plenty of water. Fever can lead to dehydration and you want to make sure you avoid this. It will only make you feel worse. Kids (and you) might enjoy frozen popsicles as well, but you do want to avoid too much sugar. Try making popsicles from herbal teas such as chamomile or elderberry. Frozen Italian ices or frozen yogurt or sherbet may be good choices as well. But don’t forget plain water!

If you quit drinking water you will start passing out – don’t do that
Acid touchy stomach is greatly helped by taking 250+ mg of magnesium, kills most of the acid and makes your stomach a lot less touchy.
Mixed up some ORS last night and that really turned things around, I actually wanted to drink some.

    1 Liter bottle,
    1/2 cup tang powder
    1/2 cup sugar
    1 tsp table salt
1/2 tsp morton’s light salt (high in potassium)
    Mix well and chill,

Oral Rehydration Solution strives for an isotonically balances mixture that absorbs really efficiently (almost as efficient as an IV) The mix above is just a tad too strong for my taste but is easy to remember, so I take a couple swallows then chase with clear water. With the orange flavor of the tang, gives you Vit C and what tastes like fresh squeezed orange juice
    thank you Larry

The World Health Organization (WHO) announced on Tuesday that it hopes to have a vaccine for the novel  corona virus, now named  SARS-CoV-2, within 18 months, but until then, countries will have to make do with what they already have.

“The development of vaccines and therapeutics is one important part of the research agenda. But it’s not only one part. They will take time to develop — but in the meantime, we are not defenseless,” WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said during a Tuesday press conference. “The first vaccine could be ready in 18 months, so we have to do everything today using the available weapons to fight this virus,”

He labeled the disease a global threat, despite most of it being relegated to mainland China.

“With 99 percent of cases in China, this remains very much an emergency for that country, but one that holds a very grave threat for the rest of the world,” Tedros explained.

He also said the virus has been named Covid-19 but claimed there are still many unknown factors that are preventing scientists from reaching a breakthrough.

“It’s hard to believe that just two months ago, this virus – which has come to captivate the attention of media, financial markets and political leaders – was completely unknown to us,” Tedros said. “To defeat this outbreak, we need answers to all those questions and more.”

Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases at the National Institute of Health (NIH), said early testing of the vaccine will likely begin in April.

The death toll from the virus topped 1,000 on Monday, according to the WHO. There are at least 40,235 confirmed cases of the virus in mainland China. There are also 393 cases in 24 other countries outside of China, including 13 in the U.S.

The epidemic has killed more people than the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) outbreak in China in 2003, when  774 people died and 8,000 were infected

Symptoms of the virus include fever, cough and shortness of breath. There aren’t many preemptive steps that can be taken to avoid infection, other than practicing basic sanitary measures on a regular basis.

When news of the virus first broke, the CDC suggested people wash their hands regularly and avoid contact with other sick people, who are recovering from an illness. It also warned against touching your eyes and face and recommended keeping objects and surfaces in your home or workspace clean and disinfected.

From my various readings, in my opinion, this is an escaped bio-engineered virus from the P-4 research lab in Wuhan, China,  probably escaped about mid October 2019. This virus shows genetic indications that it had to be engineered and not wild. The researchers “borrowed” Corona virus samples from American and Canadian labs (  the point of origin for the WuHuFlu is Harvard University ! Australian reporter reports a thing that American reporters refuse to publish.  )  and added other “features” in an attempt to create an effective inoculation to prevent SARS. The base virus, added features and the “tools” used,  all leave markers in the virus genetic structure that can be determined. The official story of a wild contamination in a Wild Meat market is the result of an infected “super shedder ” that worked in the market and infected many others. The Chinese customs for celebration during their New Year was a great accelerator for cross contamination. This virus has a long incubation time of 2-4 weeks before sickness becomes apparent, 10-14 days of sickness, followed by 2 weeks of recovery or rapid decline and death from pneumonia and organ failure.  People are infectious to others for nearly all of this time and the rate of infections is as bad as with measles.  For most people this infection is fairly minor thing, but can be deadly to those that have other problems. Due to genetics Chinese men are most at risk as well as are those with lung problems, smokers or those compromised immune systems…pg
