Energy transfer through radiation or conduction

2 responses to “radiation & conduction

So by the same token if we consider the case of a nucleus emitting EM energy, then the small size of the nucleus that is being disrupted during fission accounts for the high frequency of the produced gamma wave radiation.

@Philip Mulholland; basically you have it right. At the “event” of change, the volume occupied by the energy changes at the speed of light, an EMF pulse is created, ENERGY liberated, mass/inertia changed.
“M” is not mater. “M” is for Mass/inertia. Einstein’s cute little formula is not about Mater energy conversion, it is about Mass energy conversion. This really matters because Mass/Inertia are features of Energy and not Mater. Mater carries energy in 3 dimensions over time. But energy does not need Mater to exist. Energy can exhibit Mass/Inertia effects. Hence the conundrum of “Dark Mater/Dark Energy”
